Before & After Care
Before
Avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 3–5 days prior, if medically appropriate.
Stay well-hydrated in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment—hydration improves the quality of your PRP.
Avoid alcohol the day before treatment to support circulation and healing.
Eat a light meal before your appointment to help prevent lightheadedness during the blood draw.
Inform your provider of any medical conditions, medications, or recent procedures.
After
Avoid sexual activity for 24–48 hours post-treatment to allow the area to heal.
Refrain from vigorous exercise, heat, or saunas for 24 hours to reduce irritation or swelling.
Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site is normal and usually resolves within a few days.
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) for 48–72 hours post-treatment, as inflammation supports the healing response.
Follow any specific post-procedure instructions provided by your clinician, which may include pelvic floor exercises or device use.
Most patients resume regular activities quickly, with improvements developing over the following weeks as tissue regeneration and blood flow increase.
